The line item note doesn’t only have to be used as an attachment to a line item – I find it very useful to use it on it’s own to create line item breaks or headlines to explain what I’m doing on an estimate.
For example, I want the adjuster to know where to locate the line items I’m asking for as a supplement, so I will create a note “attachment” on a blank line to show this is where the supplement items can be found. I’ve also found these headlines useful when informing the adjuster that an updated price list is being used, O&P has been added, etc.
